  • Every time you enter a car there is a higher chance of “will I die during this trip” than when you enter a plane.

Yes the “chance to survive a plane crash” is lower than the “chance to survive a car crash” but the chance to ever be in a plane crash is incredibly low, even when you factor in the number of cars vs number of planes etc.

Old Testament god is not benevolent. They are based on ideals from a time where the natural thing to do after winning a war was to kill everyone of fighting age and take everyone else (especially the women) as slaves. Ever wonder how Moses’ people got to Egypt in the first place?

Old testament god is a god of war and wrath. Killing only the Pharaohs would have been weakness.

  • The “biological reason” is “societal preconditioning”. Its Disney movies, toys marketed towards small girls, television, social media…

Despite many advancements in equality, marrying a rich man is still seen (and marketed) as a live goal for women.

Also, wedding and princess are pretty mutch the same thing for a girl. Pretty dress, center of attention, presents, etc. Its not about “getting married”.

The question is about which is worse: do you what kids to suffer to make sure nobody can enrich themselves. Or do you allow some scumbags through the net but no child goes hungry?

Ideally of course you could have both but that would first require a few guillotined politicians and capitalists.

You almost never reach the people that are in control. They sit behind layers and layers of institutional protection, physical walls and rows of people with guns.

Demonstrations, protests, hostage takings. Always inconveniences the common people more directly than the elites in charge.

That’s what’s so interesting about recent news… it actually reached the CEO

And the brain didn’t even know it was naming itself.

The ancient Egyptians removed the brain before mummification because they considerd it to be basically useless. Later associations between motor control of muscles and the brain were discovered but it wasn’t until the development of modern neuroscience that the brain was considered to be the seat of awareness, self and intelligence.

Almost all predator animals have a territory and they will fight for that territory to keep others out. Chimpanzees and other great apes have clan wars over territory. And they have social hierarchies where some get more food than others.

There is a 100% chance early humans were fighting each other long before the invention of agriculture.
