  • It’s so hard to wrap my head around too. I know I grew up around much much more radical folks than your average westerner but still had to get over some internalized brainworms as I grew more mature but I never found it hard to be self critical and have always strove to be able to put myself in others shoes or challenge accepted narratives. On that last part I thank my parents and stepdad for inoculating me pretty well against bourgeois/imperialist propaganda. I remember I got called a lib quite a few times on the old CTH subreddit, but instead of telling everyone else they were wrong and acting smug or superior I dug into their claims and realized “oh shit I have totally been misinformed on or had the most important bits of almost all of history omitted. Fuck me, time to take my ass back to school”.

  • Between that and a lifetime of low wage labor, by the time I started reading volume one I practically skimmed over the first 5 chapters because it all just seemed perfectly obvious when I went through it. If anyone else is trying to read capital but gets bored reading a bunch of simple algebra forms about bolts of linen and wage labor in the abstract because you already have a passing familiarity with Marxist concepts, I usually recommend people skim if not just skip ahead to Chapter 5 cuz that’s where he really starts cooking once his whole economic proof is out of the way.

  • You are the one that cited Falun Gong, which is a weird fascist cult, not me. Also as people have already told you every part of the federal government has had to admit that it was all propaganda with zero evidence. I am done talking to you. You refuse to read anyone else’s sources and don’t even stop to think that the paper owned by Jeff fucking Bezos might not have a vested interest in demonizing China and particularly socialism as a whole. Take your fascist nonsense back to reddit lib.

  • You do realize that DSA candidates are fairly successful (to varying degrees of positive outcomes) regionally, and to a lesser extent PSL though they are further left.

It is this mindset from liberals such as yourself that actually stops good things from happening.

Also if the Democratic party keeps eating shit to/failing to accomplishing anything in the face of the open fascist party I don’t trust them to do anything good ever. You also discount all the marginalized people actively harmed by their right wing policies (and they are very much a right wing party).

  • only about 8% of indigenous people still speak their native languages which are rapidly going extinct and for example Pine Ridge reservation still has the lowest average life expectancy and highest infant mortality rates, along with extremely high rates of cancer due to being surrounded by bombing ranges and contaminated with uranium mine runoff in most of the reservation water supply. As someone that has worked with indigenous activists for decades I can confirm it was pretty gross, ignorant, and just plain wrong.
