Anecdotally but I think your map has coke coming up a bit too far. That really falls off by northern Tennessee unless you’re in a particularly rural area.

4k is absolutely an upgrade over 1440p. I have two of them (an LCD and an OLED) and I absolutely love them in every game I play. I will admit that I’m in the super minority and because of my work history I’ve spent a lot of time looking at a lot of displays so I’m more sensitive to various artifacts than the normal person. And in games I always prefer looks over resolution, it needs to drop down to like 40fps or lower for me to start changing settings.

Basically, it was worth it for me but probably won’t be for you. OLED is a significantly actual upgrade. You should get an OLED it’ll change your life.

Which would be easier if you were a dev making your own game than if you were making a mod for an existing one no?

HDR is more for showing the “depth” of an image, not as much the color gamut (how many colors it can show).

HDR will help more with things like if you’re inside a building and looking out in a daylight scene. Youll be able to see more of both inside and outside the building. Of course it won’t make your monitor better, but assuming you have more than a basic display you should be able to see a difference.

That’s the thing though, when you install Samba it does create an empty config file at \etc\samba\smb.conf, or at least I’ve never created one

I just want to do something like find {package name} | grep "config.conf" or something like that. I normally know what the program is called, I just don’t know where it is located.

Oh I see, this command didn’t really do what I wanted it to do then. I just wanted to be able to see the locations of any files associated with a program. If I knew the file path I could just find them haha

No error or anything, but it just doesn’t have the /etc/samba/smb.conf file. Just doesn’t have it.

dpkg -S samba does find /usr/share/samba/smb.conf which isn’t the right file either.

I just tried this with Samba (so dpkg -L samba and dpkg -S samba, and I also tried adding grep "smb.conf" and running it with sudo) and I was unable to find the share config file.

It’s located under /etc/samba/smb.conf but that command was returning a path under my local user. This is on Ubuntu

You are mostly right, except this line. And I think I understand your meaning but I think it’s a little misleading.

A digital to digital copy can be a 1:1 replication. But just saying “digital to digital” doesn’t mean the copy process is lossless, there are a ton of lossy transfer methods. I don’t believe they are used when burning CDs (honestly not sure, but I googled it real quick) but just because it’s digital doesn’t mean it can’t have losses

You’re confusing a personal and moral decision with an economic one.

A company, the legal entity, is not a person (despite what some people say) and it can’t make any moral decisions. For a company the decision between “collaborate” and “stop existing” isn’t murky nor is it a hard one. Corporations exist to continue operating and to continue making money. They are machines built to do that one thing.

Now the people who run the company, are different. They are humans and they are capable of making moral decisions.

BMW is also an interesting example because they didn’t really make cars before hand. They made one model which was more or less of a failure until they were nationalized by the Nazi party to make aircraft engines and other vehicles. So the people who owned it did decide to jump ship when the company was taken over.
